50th Anniversary Celebration-Tom & Sandy

Tom & Sandy celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss with their family and friends.   I was so impressed with all of the details of their party. For starters the individually hand wrapped candy bars with their pictures on the front. Or the picture montage of their lives together that was playing on the t.v.  The picture candles on each table. The friends that helped set up and with food and drinks. So much love went into the planning and execution of such a great gathering.

I was almost moved to tears as Tom and Sandy got out of their car and hugged their family. (I didn't want any camera shake!!) The toast prepared by their kids was equally as moving. I enjoyed looking around the pool deck and seeing their kids, grandkids, family and friends celebrating their milestone with them. Tom & Sandy are a testimony to all of us.

Matthew 19:4-6

Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

  2. Dear Sandy & Tom, I can see by the pictures the two of you were really surprised! How wonderful! I only wish I could have been there to help you all celebrate. Congrats to the kids and friends who put all the hard work into this special surprise for the two of you. As I looked at the pictures, it brought so many memories of us, growing up with our kids, and having fun. The time Andy and I shared your home as we were waiting to get into our home. 4 adults, 2 babies, and 2 dogs! Just had to chuckle thinking of Tom trying to stay away from Cherie, as she just wanted to bite him so much. And, of course, your dog, who was always digging holes in the back yard...remember Tom? Oh, and the sleeping arrangements; Steve rocking his crib from one side of the room to the other, and at the same time hitting his head on the end of the crib; David looking for "bow wow"; and us trying not to wake up the little ones as we went into go to bed; and one bathroom. Oh the joys of that time! So long ago, and we are still friends, and always will be friends. We made it through alot ,and still have each other. Such good memories, I'll never forget! The good, bad, and ugly, we made it! I am so proud of the two of you and love you both so much, and miss you. Congratulations are very much in order for two very special people!

    All My Love! :-)
