Painting with a Twist + Sugardarlings Cupcakes = FUN!

Being the art teacher at Elfers Christian School sure has its perks. Recently, I took my 8th grade class on a field trip to Painting with a Twist in Trinity on SR 54. They had the room all set up for us. Each student had an easel, canvas, paint brushes, and their paints. We chose the Hooty Owl to paint. The wonderful staff walked us through the painting each step of the way. It began with a chalk sketch all the way to the finished product.

Like spending the afternoon painting wasn't fun enough, we decided to add some Sugardarlings Cupcakes to our field trip. The boys requested jolly rancher, and we also had a dozen vanilla.

This had to be one of the best field trips of all time. I was very impressed with how professional and organized they were at Painting with a Twist and the cupcakes at Sugardarlings are the best, hands down. Best of all my students were so well behaved. What a successful day!
