We're Expecting-Maternity Photography Ozark, Alabama

I am so excited to share this blog post! Katie and Thomas are expecting their first baby!! Yes, I am going to be a grandmother!  God's plans are always the best. Thomas was on deployment with the Army most of last year and then was accepted into flight school and moved to Alabama. Katie spent most of last year on her own in Hawaii. This past month she left the Army and joined Thomas in Alabama. Now they will be starting their own family. I was able to visit them this past weekend. Thomas is working very hard at flight school and they both are doing a great job fixing up the house.

It was so hard to contain this news!!

Belleair Beach Family Photography-What to Wear?

Here is a familiar question, "What should we wear?". I was thrilled when my girlfriend asked me this question for her family beach photo session. I directed her to my what to wear albums on my facebook page. She listened!!! When I arrived at her home this is what I saw. All of these wonderful outfits sprawled out on her bed. I am not a huge fan of all black or all white for family sessions. This is not how families normally dress when they all go out together, right?

What made this session even better is they live right on Belleair Beach. The evening started off with some ice cream at the Kooky Coconut. The skies started to look very dark and it even started to rain. After a quick Florida shower we were able to finish up the family pictures.

I am very thankful my good friend and her family moved back to Florida. We were part of a ladies Bible study group for several years. The connection we all made has yet to be duplicated in my life.

I was so pleased when my good friends asked me to photograph them. They wanted to give them away as gifts to family at Christmas. I had to hold out until after Christmas to post this blog. Torture!!

Joanie and I were both teachers together at New Covenant. Her daughter was in my first grade class,and my daughter was in her second grade class. Both of the girls are still best friends. Her husband has a great sense of humor. That was especially needed as Joanie went through chemotherapy this year. He was her rock during that time. You can see how much they love each other in these pictures.

Their teenager daughter came along to watch the photo shoot. You can spot her in one of the pictures behind the huge tree.

6 month session-Sims Park Children & Family Photography

What a day of firsts for this 6 month old!  First time at Sims Park, first time crawling on grass, and first time in a swing! He was definitely on stimulus overload. What made the day even better was sharing it all these firsts with his grandparents. Perfect timing for family photos! This family finished up their day buy going home to cheer on their favorite college team. Go Wolverines!!

Trinity Children & Family Photography- 3 month old session

This little 3 month old is dad's mini-me! He was not a big fan of outfit changes! This photo session was actually several months ago. I realized after doing his 6 month session recently that I never blogged/shared his 3 month pictures. Silly me!
