For weeks I had been telling my kids that I wanted to take their Christmas pictures at a park. Every time we would make plans to go something would come up or we were just too tired or lazy. It seems that since I started my photography business I have been remiss in taking pictures of my own kids. We finally made it out to Jay B. Starkey Park. I was able to use my new camera, and I am so happy with how they turned out. I did not take the pictures in time to make Christmas cards, but there is always next year!!! Happy 2012 to you all. Thank you for supporting me in my first year of business.

New Port Richey Teen Photography-My Baby Turns 13!
My little girl is officially a teenager today. I can hardly believe it. I enjoy photography so much because it lets me capture those memories and stages in their life.
Oh, the teenage stage! Many milestones will be reached in the next seven years. High school, driving, prom, college. Slow down!!! Let's just get through this year!
The teenage years come with a label of attitude and rebellion. I am not going to speak that over my daughter. I pray that she puts God first in her life and goes down the straight path.
Today starts a new season of life. Let us celebrate. Happy Birthday!

I had fun playing around with the black and white edits.

Kelsey-Senior Photography Fred Howard Park Tarpon Springs, FL
Kelsey wanted her pictures to have both a park and water location. The perfect location was Fred Howard Park. I had not been there in years and it was my first senior portrait session there. We had a great time finding good light and locations for pictures. Kelsey wants to become a nurse and one day work at All Children's Hospital. The families there will one day be blessed to have her there!

Jorge-Male Senior & Skateboarding Photography New Port Richey FL
Coming up with a location for Jorge's senior portraits was a challenge. I asked one of his fellow senior classmates for some suggestions. (Thanks, Laura!) We came up with the closed Sonic on Little Road. It provided a great backdrop for the skateboarding pictures. Next stop was Starbucks next door. Jorge played football for ECS and is one laid back guy!
After the session was over and I was heading out I spotted a shopping cart. I asked Jorge if he would mind jumping in for a few more pictures. I am glad he agreed. What are the chances of getting a sheriff's car in one of the pictures? We managed to accomplish that!

Christina-Pet and Senior Photography-Fred Howard Park Tarpon Springs FL
Christina sent me a text the day of our senior session asking if she thought it would be okay to photograph her with her ferret. I thought it was a great idea. Nibbles was a rock star! Christina is an Elfers Christian School 2012 graduate that enjoys scuba diving and spearfishing.

Laura-Hudson Senior Photography | Blueberry Farm
Laura wanted a unique location for her senior photo session. She suggested the blueberry farm that she works at. The farm currently has one year old blueberry bushes. She is going to be super busy when they all come into season. Pick some for me!!!

Trinity Family Photography-Longleaf Christmas Mini Session
My experience so far as a family photographer is that the husband is usually not too keen on family picture day. This was not the case for the Pfaff family. At our recent Christmas mini session in Longleaf, dad immediately spotted this great oak tree and soon had the entire family up in the tree posing for a picture. Way to go dad!!
