I had the privilege of doing an engagement session for a special couple. Katie and Thomas are both in the Army currently stationed in Hawaii. Katie is my step daughter, and I was thrilled when she asked me to do her engagement shoot. Starkey Park proved to be a great location for the photo session. It is a rustic and beautiful park.  I will also be photographing their wedding this weekend in Arkansas.  I am looking forward to it!!!

High Country North Carolina

The summers in Florida are hot and humid. My escape is the High Country of North Carolina. We spent nearly two glorious weeks where the high temperatures sometimes did not even hit 70 degrees. I enjoyed sitting on the condo balcony and watching the rain storms come in and also hiking the ski trails at Sugar Mountain. We made a great discovery during this trip. Wildcat Lake was a great place to swim. The water was cool and you could use their canoes for free.

I think mountains have to be one of my favorite of God's creations. There are over 300 references in the Bible about mountains. Here are a few of my favorite:

Psalm 90:2

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.

Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;

Family Photography-At Home on the Ranch in New Port Richey

The original plan was to have the family photo session at Starkey Park. This family loves the woods and everything about the outdoors. The two oldest daughters will be heading out for the summer and urged mom to have the photos right at home. They have several acres in New Port Richey, and it feels like you are at a park. The day after this picture was taken their second oldest was heading to North Carolina to work as a counselor at a summer camp. Their oldest daughter graduates from Lee University in December. Even though two of the children will be leaving the nest, these parents still have three lively youngsters still at home.

Pediatrician Display-Canvas Wall Art

Dr. Dhingra has been my children's pediatrician since birth. She is one of a kind. What made the greatest impression on me was after every exam she would call you into her office. She would make time to talk about what was going on with the health of your child. She could perform  a complete exam on your child and still have a full conversation with the parent. She is amazing! She is a physician that truly loves what she does and cares about the families she serves.

I was thrilled when Dr. Dhingra agreed to let me display my work in her office. I selected three 16x20 canvas art pieces, ranging from newborn to senior. Thank you, Dr. Dhingra, for allowing me to display my photography on your office walls. I think they brighten up that wall quite nicely!

Event Photography Trinity FL Elfers Christian School Prom

Elfers Christian School recently had their high school prom at Fox Hollow Golf Club. It was a beautiful venue, and the students had a wonderful time.  This group sure knows how to have good, clean fun. Gainesville GA Children and Family Photography

My kids and I visit our Georgia relatives usually twice each year. I have four married cousins that all have children. It is a great time when all of the second cousins can get together and play. They do not see each other for months, but you wouldn't know it by seeing them play together. I usually spend a few nights in Gainseville, GA, with my cousin Amy and her crew of four. She is a homeschool mother that loves to cook. I enjoy eating! Our time there is always relaxing and fun. Amy and Shane are great parents. When dad gets home each night there is running around games and reading. This family loves to read! Amy's love of reading has surely passed to her children. Their home is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and the kids play for hours in the woods behind their house.

These pictures are from my summer visit in 2010. I will be taking new family pictures this summer. I am sure they all have grown. See you, cousins, in June!!!
