Senior Prom Photography-Black & Whites-J.W. Mitchell High School

What a stunning senior! I was thrilled when I received the call to do a senior prom photo session. My original plan was to do the session at a park nearby. We ended up doing the session at home. I am so glad we did! With a flood of gorgeous light coming in from the front door, we were able to capture some great pictures of this senior.

I love black and white photos but find I mostly post in color. While I was editing these pics I fell in love with them in black and white. So elegant.

I was also able to snap a few shots of this beautiful senior with her brother. He was also attending the prom. What a handsome young man!

James & Dana-Rustic Engagement Photography-New Port Richey

What a stunning couple! Dana and James decided to have their engagement pictures on the neighbor's property. There were some beautiful oak tress that caught their attention. It wasn't until the night before our engagement session that they spotted this run down barn on the property. Talk about a perfect prop!!!

They wanted to include their new puppy in their pictures. She is the most well behaved puppy I have ever met! While they were walking through the field their dog obediently trailed behind them. No leash required!

These two love birds met while on campus at Lee University. It seems to me that college bonfires have a way of sparking a romance!!

Rustin & Jessica-Engagement Session Starkey Park

Rustin and Jessica met at Southeastern University in Lakeland. They are such an easy going and fun couple to be around. Their engagement session was at Starkey Park. We were so engrossed in taking pictures when a man on a bike called out to us to tell us the park ranger was locking the gate. We grabbed all of our props and ran! I had to sweet talk and apologize to the park ranger. She was not too happy with us. Apparently, she was honking her horn and we never heard it.

Photographing young couples in love is a blast. These two were naturals, laughing and having fun with each other. When they came over to view their pictures last night we talked for two hours about their wedding. They are both so excited. I am too as I will be photographing it!!!

Elizabeth-Teen Photography-Freshman year at Stetson University

I finally was able to go to Stetson University to visit my niece. She is currently a freshman there studying medicine and a minor in music. I took the trip with my mom. We enjoyed our travel time talking and catching up. I usually have my kids with me so it was nice to just have adult time. I had never been past Orlando on I-4 and did not realize that Deland was so close to the other coast. My niece is only 30 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

I always enjoy my visits to college campuses as I get into the landscaping and architecture. The campus was easy to walk around and not overly big. After a tour of her dorm we went into downtown Deland to eat at one of Elizabeth's favorite restaurants. My favorite part was the moist chocolate cake we shared. We walked around to a few shops and took some great pictures.

Did I mention I was Elizabeth's own personal paparazzi? She was all ready for spring in her new outfit. We then traveled to Walmart where my niece scored on a great bathing suit and coverup for the summer. We finished up the day with a more extensive tour of her campus and of course dinner at Chick-Fil-A. On the drive to dinner Elizabeth drove as I snapped pictures out the window. They were having a musical festival downtown to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and I happened to capture a gentleman in a kilt!!

It was a fabulous day. The best part was how proud I was of my niece. While many college students party, drink, and much more, she is focused and living by her morals. She is growing, maturing, and becoming an independent adult. I am very proud of you, E!!! I can't wait to visit her again. Of course I have a few itineraries planned out. A trip to the Atlantic Ocean and Blue Spring State Park are on the agenda. xoxo
